Military Develops iPhone Application Specific

CHICAGO - United States Army will develop specific applications iPhone and Android based phones in the future. The application aims to help increase the ability of U.S. troops. "Google Android, Apple iPhone and other smartphones can be used by soldiers in war zone this year." Chief Information OfficerMiliter said U.S. Lt. Gen. Jeff Sorenson as quoted from the Chicago Sun-Times, Friday (20/08/2010).
To achieve these objectives, the U.S. military held a contest with prizes of USD 3000, for each member who gave the best ideas for the development of the application. One contestant who successfully won the first championship contest, Major Greg Motes, said he and some of its members to design a program "Physical Training Program" for the iPhone platform. These applications will help the soldiers to develop their own training programs.
iPhone and other smartphones have long been used by the U.S. military. Sophistication of the iPhone and iPod has been proven in military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. iPod can store up to 30 000 computer program. Additionally iPod can also do a variety of jobs ranging from translation to track the path a bullet shot while in a state of war.
